Hello, my name is Oscar
I’m a backend software engineer working primarily with Go, Docker, Kubernetes, and container management platforms. My day-to-day work involves building backend systems, investigating customer and production issues, and working with containerized environments ranging from individual Docker hosts to Kubernetes and edge deployments.I’m especially interested in platform reliability, distributed systems, self-hosting, and making complex infrastructure easier to operate and understand.
Outside work, I build and operate my own software projects, including GetStreamVault, a self-hosted personal video library for archiving online media and personal uploads, and OneClickTLS, a browser-based tool for generating and inspecting development TLS certificates. I use this blog to document problems I have actually encountered, how I investigated them, the solutions I tested, and the trade-offs behind the final implementation.
Away from engineering, I enjoy reading Chinese cultivation novels, following the stock market and managing my own investments, watching anime such as Slam Dunk, and watching dramas with Rosie.
